people see a smile and they think

“hey that person is happy.”

but when you really think about it

most animals bare their teeth

as a sign of aggression.

So next time someone smiles at you

remember they probably

want to rip your throat out

There once stood a man

With a crown upon his head

A crown that shone a bright crimson red.

An old king

That had many trinkets

And one very precious red ring.

The crown and the ring were one and the same

Made to kill and maim

To torture the mind in a circle of flame.

Although the same they were different in a way

The ring to control

And the crown to obey.

If one wore both he was safe from the harm it would cause.

But as with all that is made of might

It had a mind of its own,

that feared no laws 

Which took delight

In whispering,

Stories of the dark things

That lurked in the night.

The sky burned

like the fire

In an angels.

It set upon the

Man a mantle

Of madness

Making his mind

A melancholy myriad

Of mindless musings.

The cool calm

Depth-less blue water

Sought to calm him,

But to no avail

And yet through

All the

Rampant ramblings

The truth

Was what was heard

Of life I will say this,

I will say it is a place

To lay the dying echoes

of dreams.

A place where people

Become machines,

To work everyday

Till they die

like a slave to the demons

That plague their minds.

is what I crave.

I crave for song

and revelry,

I crave for night merging

to fire.

I am made of both

the dark

and the light.

I bet you never noticed it till now.

the ones that hide in the dark,

the ones that follow you home at night.

You are?

I thought so ,you strike me as the weak sort,

someone not ready to accept something beyond yourself.

Well that’s okay just don’t let them get you in the night.

It truly is a funny world we live in isn’t it?

People care so much about things,

some even regard friends

as things.

No one cares about each other anymore

just things.

some people find it sad,

me well I find it funny

extremely funny in fact.

People think that others are honest,

that some of them can do no wrong.

Well people are naive, and idiotic.

People are destroyers

no mater how much they create.

People say that light cannot thrive without darkness

well the light is fading and soon there will be nothing

but black.

Why is it that the darkness

is so alluring?

That the void speaks my name

in a near silent whisper

so feint that even I sometimes

do not hear that sweet voice.

Why does the darkness like to toy

with the minds of people

who have done no wrong?

Well the answer is simple

because the darkness you call your friend

is nothing but a cruel and evil master.
